Dr. Fixit Crack-X Paste
Description
Dr. Fixit Crack-X Paste is made from high-quality, weather-durable acrylic emulsion polymer, carefully selected
graded fillers, light-fast pigments, and additives. It is a single-pack, ready-to-use flexible putty designed for
filling cracks in plastered surfaces. It offers excellent bonding, ease of application, water resistance, aesthetic
appeal, and durability.
Specification
Meets the requirements of ASTM C 834 – 91 standard.
Typical Applications
Internal & external Plastered brick masonry wall cracks of up to 5 mm width.
Features
} Permanent crack filling ability - Due to elastic polymers and micro fibers which gives long lasting permanent
crack sealing
} Ease of application – it can be applied in crack gap up to 5mm.
} Flexibility - Flexible, therefore does not crack & accommodates minor movements in cracks.
} Paint ability - Over coatable by any type of polymer based paints, after 6 hours.

Method of Application
1 SURFACE PREPARATION
} Ensure that the surface is free from dust, oil, grease, and loose particles. Before applying Dr. Fixit Crack-X
Paste, moisten the surface.
} Widen all fine hairline cracks with a width greater than 0.50mm to a minimum of 3-5 mm using a scraper or
cutter, creating a 'V' groove and fill with Dr. Fixit Crack X Paste.
} When applying Dr. Fixit Crack-X Paste on internal surfaces, make sure to remove any existing POP (Plaster of
Paris) or painter's putty until the plaster surface is exposed.
2 APPLICATION
} Apply the primer coat prepared with Dr. Fixit Crack-X Paste and water in 1:1 proportion over the crack surface.
Fill cracks with Dr. Fixit Crack-X Paste when the surface is tacky and not dried completely.
} Press Dr. Fixit Crack-X Paste firmly into the crack using a spatula or putty knife, and ensure it is level with
the surface.
} Take care to prevent the formation of cavities or bubbles during the application. Allow the coat to dry for 4-6 hours.
} For internal walls further application of POP or painter's putty can be done once it is fully dry.
Precautions & Limitations
} Should not be used for cracks more than 5 mm thick.
} Not for application in cracks in structural members, expansion joints & separation gaps.
} Not for cracks in POP or painter’s putty.
} For application below 10oC, drying time will be delayed.
} Container to be tightly closed after application.
} Allow Crack- X paste to dry for 8 Hrs before POP or painting.
