Product Description
SBR Based Bonding Agent MCON BOND SBR is a styrene butyl rubber based bonding agent from selected synthetic copolymers for structural repairs. It provides a strong bonding coat to protect and repair RCC and steel structures.
Areas of Application
For concrete repairs - Spalled concrete of floors, columns, beams, chajja, slabs, parapets, etc.
As a bond coat – For bonding of new concrete to old concrete, masonry stone work, plastering.
As bonding slurry coat for pinhole treatment on concrete surface

Method of Application
For Bond Coat :- Surface preparation is vital for effective adhesion and bonding of BOND SBR. To start with, free the surface from laitance, loose dust particles, oil, grease and other dirt.
Then: Weigh out 1 kg of BOND SBR in a plastic container of 2 litre capacity.
Weigh out 1 kg of ordinary Portland cement from a bag of fresh cement.
Add the cement gradually to BOND SBR with constant stirring.
Ensure there is no formation of lumps.
Stir constantly until all the cement has been added to BOND SBR and slurry of uniform consistency is achieved.
Apply this slurry on the substrate using a soft 4 - inch wide paint brush.
Apply the slurry in one direction only.
